Apple Announces Next Event for Ocotber 22nd

Apple has sent invitations to their next event at the Buena Yerba Center in San Francisco.  The event scheduled for 10am on the 22nd of October, is expected by most media outlets to be the announcement by CEO Tim Cook of the release of the iPad 5 as well as the iPad Mini 2.

Apple Inc. has released an iOS App for the iPhone and iPad which will give all registered Apple developers access to the event.  The 2013 edition of the WorldWide Developers Conference in San Francisco sold out in a record 71 seconds this year leaving many developers in the dark so to speak.  Apparently, Apple has heard the cries of anguish from those developers who figured they would be able to get a ticket and were not so lucky. Apple Patches Another Zero-Day Hole in Java

Java once again is at the firestorm of vulnerabilities with Apple.  The latest release of Java 6 has been exploited again and Apple is pushing out an update, Java for Mac OS X 2013-002. Apple trademarks its Stores to deter copycats

Sam Shead from ZDNet writes that the USPTO has granted Apple a trademark to its stores in order to cut down on copycats. German firm asks Apple to pull “Memory” apps from store

According to an article on Gamasutra by Frank Cifaldi, a German game-making company is asking Apple to remove apps from the App Store that contain the word “Memory” in their name.
