Dues Structure for 1979 Membership

Fees for 1979 will be $2.50 Apple-cation fee {new members only} plus $7.50 dues. Those members who have already renewed at the prior rate will not be charged the new rate. New members paying for the first time after September 1 st will not be required to pay 1978 dues. Membership cards are being mailed with this issue. If you are current and have not received a card, please let us know.

Meeting Minutes

21 March 1978

Place: Burien Empire Electronics

The meeting was held at Empire Electronics in Burien. Val Golding called the meeting to order at 7:05 and led the introductions to the 17 members present. The treasurers report indicated a bank balance of $73. 50, of which 33.55 is earmarked for preplanned expenditures.  Burt Webb reported on the 19″ color monitor s discussed at the previous meeting. They were made in Canada and designed for use in pubs and arcades. There is a limited number and would cost about $200. Val located a dealer with Mostek 16K chips available for $320 0r less.

A decision was made and carried to establish all annual dues rate of $5.00; $4.00 for the balance of 1978. Val was voted approval to continue negotiations with software houses whereby the club could obtain outside programs for the library. Questions came up about release forms but nothing was resolved.

Don Williams advised his availability for teaching assembly language classes. Details will be worked out. The DAK 8 minute cassettes have not arrived yet; some are still availilble at $.75. The meeting broke for discussion at 8:15.
