Apple Updates Digital Camera RAW Compatibility

Apple has updated the Digital Camera RAW Compatibility, releasing version 3.10 of the compatibility driver.  The update adds the following cameras to the compatibility list for Apple’s Apperture 3 as well as their iPhoto ’11 packages:

  • Canon PowerShot G1 X
  • Nikon D4
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GX1
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ35
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ38
  • Samsung NX200
  • Sony Alpha NEX-7
  • Sony NEX-VG20

You will need at least Mac OS X 10.6.8 or Mac OS 10.7.1 installed in order to use this update.  You can install the update from the Software Update function under the Apple Menu in Mac OS X or from the Apple Support page at:

Apple Updates Epson Printer Drivers for Mac OS X

Apple has released an update to the Epson printer drivers for Mac OS X.  The latest version of the Epson drivers, version 2.10, requires users to have at least Mac OS X 10.6 on their machines.  You can download the drivers through the Software Update feature under the Apple menu or from the Epson Printer Support page at:

Apple Updates iMac Graphics Firmware

Apple has released an update for the Graphics Firmware on the iMac.   Version 3.0 of the Graphics Firmware targets an issue that causes the iMac to hang.   You can download the firmware update through the Software Update function under the Apple Menu or from the Apple Support Page at:

Apple Updates EFI Firmware on Late 2008 MacBook Pro

Apple has taken a whack at fixing the flickering of the internal display on the late 2008 MacBook Pro.  A new EFI Update for the 15 inch model is supposed to resolve this issue.  Version 2.8 of the EFI Firmware for the MacBook Pro should be available in you Software Updates or you can download it directly from the Apple Support site at:
