APDA Log

APDA was started in 1980 by Don Williams in coordination with Apple and A.P.P.L.E. The resulting tools were the tools with which all Apple programs have come to be and the resulting magazine which was produced quarterly was aptly named the APDA Log.

In 1989, Apple COmputer, Inc. bought APDA from A.P.P.L.E. for $3 Million and Apple began producing the APDA Log. The issues show below are the ones produced by A.P.P.L.E. prior to Apple's take over of the APDA.

Almost all issues are owned by the group but missing issues would be most welcome by the group in hard or scanned format.

Coming Soon!

This newsletter eventually became Mac A.P.P.L.E.. While the magazine is known to exist, no actual copies of the magazine are owned by the group. If anyone has any copies of this magazine, feel free to contact us.

MacTech Quarterly

 alt="MacTech Quarterly"
 width="97"
 height="128" />

Only 5 issues of this magazine were ever produced. They were the result of ending production of Mac A.P.P.L.E. / Mac Horizons magazine. We have all 5 issues in data format but only two of the issues in hard printed format. We are still looking for the remaining issues.

Thanks to Andrew Himes and Frank Catalano, These issues Coming Soon!

Co-Op Spirit

 alt="Co-Op Spirit"
 width="99"
 height="128" />

The Co-Op Spirit was published for three years by what was left of A.P.P.L.E. and Tech Alliance. While the content was more balanced over several platforms, it was definitely not the driving force that it had been when it was Call-A.P.P.L.E..

Almost all issues are owned by the group but missing issues would be most welcome by the group in hard or scanned format.
A.P.P.L.E. Mac

 src="http://www.callapple.org/_Media/dec87mh_thumbnail.jpeg"
 alt="A.P.P.L.E. Mac"
 width="97"
 height="128" />

This magazine started out as an attempt by A.P.P.L.E. to catch up with the rest of the computing world at the time. Initially called 32 Little Apples and run as a newsletter, it would be changed in 1987 to Mac A.P.P.L.E.. However, confusion seemed to be the item of the day and the magazine was re-named once again. The new name, Mac Horizons stuck until the magazine was folded in 1988.

We would like to find the first three years of the magazine. If anyone has any of the issues, feel free to contact us.

Call-A.P.P.L.E.

Call-A.P.P.L.E. magazine was the brain child of Val J. Golding, the founder of A.P.P.L.E.. Each month, he would piece together bits of news from Apple Computer, Inc. and other companies in the Apple world and publish Call-A.P.P.L.E. magazine, distributing a copy to each member of the users group.

A huge undertaking, the magazine grew like the group in leaps and bounds and was at one time reaching more than 100,000 readers all over the world.
