The March Meeting for the A.P.P.L.E. User Group Meeting was held online with the meeting being brought to order by Bill Martens. The initial items on the agenda were the releases of the February and March issues of Call-A.P.P.L.E. Server changes coming up this week

Over the next few days, we may have periods of going dark due to our servers being migrated to a new service provider.  We started with VServers in Tukwilla,Wa. in 1997 where we would just call the server support guys out on the server farm and have problems with the machine fixed. That has changed with the latest change after the current provider took over Peer1 and basically began to insist on us paying fees that are not realistic.  Thus…

A.P.P.L.E. Server Upgrade Put on Temporary Hold

We have been upgrading our servers here at A.P.P.L.E. in the hope of providing more resources and a faster server for our users.  During our migration yesterday, we hit a snag with services on the primary server being pinged out so we decided to go ahead and do the migration by hand which will take a few days longer than planned. Stay tuned for more as we go through this upgrade.

Website Categories Changed on A.P.P.L.E. Website

In preparation for a major website overhaul and server upgrade, we have changed all of the categories on the website.   All of the Vintage Apple computing platforms are now under Vintage while the more modern items such as the iPad, Macintosh, iPhone and other items are under Apple Computing.   Also, external companies from Apple which make Apple related products are now under Other Companies. For starters, here is how you can break your long PRINT statements in pages:For more than two pages, use this subroutine, inserting the GOSUB after 20 or less lines: 200 VTAB 22:PRINT “HIT RETURN FOR NEW PAGE”: CALL -676: CALL 936: RETURN.
