Call-A.P.P.L.E. Magazine Returns

The long-running, Apple-centric Call-A.P.P.L.E. Magazine has returned.  Started in 1978 by Val J. Golding, the magazine has a long history with publication from 1978-1990 and 2002-2010.

Produced by the Apple Pugetsound Program Library Exchange user group, the magazine focuses on Apple-related topics including retro Apple II and Mac computing, in addition to current Apple news and general technology.

Volume 25 Number 1 of Call-A.P.P.L.E. Magazine is available to A.P.P.L.E. members today with a number of unique articles, book reviews, iOS and Mac game previews, interviews, and other items from the Apple computing world.  The magazine is available in high-quality, indexed PDF format.

The 40 page issue features items from the 2015 rendition of KansasFest, the annual gathering of vintage Apple computing fans and hobbyists in Kansas City, Missouri.  Highlights include an interview with well-known game programmers Rebecca Heineman and Jennell Jaquays, as well as a photo expose from the event by Brian Wiser in addition to a number of other unique items.

About Apple Pugetsound Program Library Exchange:
A.P.P.L.E. has been a global Apple user group since 1978, with membership peaking near 50,000 in 1985. Offering many services, A.P.P.L.E. is also a book publisher and game developer.  In 2013, the “The WOZPAK Special Edition” book was released containing Steve Wozniak’s restored hand-written notes and printouts about his Apple II computer, as well as a forward from Steve Wozniak and other Apple legends.
