Lawless Legends Releases New Playable Demo

The Lawless Legends development team has released a new playable demo of their game. The game which has been under development for a number of years is currently at a game version 0.95 but has progressed in leaps and bounds over the past year or so.

The Lawless Legends development team includes long time Apple II programming legends such as Rebecca Heineman, Martin Haye, Brenden Robert, David Schmenk as well as legendary D&D designer Jennell Jaquays and famed documenter Andrew Schultz. The fonts are from Andrew Hogan and the project is being led by Seth and Michelle Sterberger.

According to the story blurb, “

The year is 1856, California, tensions are sky high as one by one gold mines and claims close down on account of the gold dryin’ up. Gunfights break out at the drop of a hat, or even a speck of gold dust. What’s worse is robbers, road agents, and the like are becoming more common than prospectors! With the wealth of the region slowly drying up, everything is spiraling into disaster, and that’s just the towns!

The wilderness is a whole other ball of wax, what with the wild cats, snakes and bears roaming closer to towns now for some reason. But that ain’t the worst of it…There have been whispers of strange, almost unnatural things happening deep within the nearby range of mountains.

Oh, and did we mention you’re the new sheriff?
