In 1978, the membership was cost was $12.00 per year with each issue of the newsletter costing $1.00 This changed to $2.00 per issue in 1979 with the change to a magazine. The membership fee was also changed to $15.00 with the Apple-cation fee being $25.00.
Membership dues were always due on December 31st with non-renewals being removed after the January Mailing. Memberships were handled by the Group secretary in Olympia.
The membership of the club grew quickly and by mid 1980, had reached over 5000 members. This grew to 7,000 by December 1981 and 10,000 by March 1982. The membership eventually grew to almost 50,000 members by 1985.
Membership fees are now and $26.95 per year and are always due on the month you pay.
Becoming an A.P.P.L.E. Member
A.P.P.L.E. is a all volunteer users group which supports users of All Apple computers regardless of the age or the operating system. Through the "Users helping Users" concept, our group provides a great resource for information, hardware, software, and documentation for Apple computers.
With many of our users having been in the Apple world since the first Apple computers were produced in 1977, we have one of the most knowledgeable groups in the world. Our staff and our directors are all volunteers and Apple computer users themselves.
