Frank Black has released his latest rendition of Eamon Deluxe interactive fiction system. Version 5.0 which runs on all flavors of Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, allows the users to experience the joys of playing the original Eamon adventures all in one place. New screen shots of the impending Macintosh version of Eamon Deluxe version 5.0 have been posted on the Eamon Adventurers Guild Online Blog. The screen shots show that the new software is nearly complete and seems to be operating nominally. The latest incarnation of the Eamon Adventurers franchise, Eamon Deluxe 5.0 has been shipped to beta testers. Thus far, the program is only available in Win32 format, however, other formats including Mac OS X versions will be released in the coming days. Thus far, there are 20 beta testers with room for 10 more on the team. Frank Kunze, author of Eamon Deluxe has been continuing work on the system and also on the conversion of the older Eamon adventures. …
According to a post on the Eamon Adventurers Guild Online blog, the beta version of Eamon Deluxe 5.0 may go out to beta testers as early as today. Frank Kunze is in the final stages of squashing bugs with the new version and expects that the beta will be in testers hands at end of day.
