Ken Gagne, owner of Juiced GS Magazine has announced the release of the new and improved Kansas Fest website. The gathering which brings Apple ][ enthusiasts together from all corners of the earth, is held every july in Kansas City, Missouri.
With attendance at around 50 members each year, new items related to Apple ][ computing are announced each year, making this one of the must attend conventions for any Vintage computing fan.
According to the press release from Ken gagane, “Both http://www.kansasfest.org/ and http://www.kfest.org/ have been completely remodeled to better serve you, the Apple II enthusiasts of the 21st century.
The site now sports a design consistent with the KansasFest logos and themes of recent years, while remaining 100% compatible with Lynx and SIS.
But this redesign is about more than aesthetics. Besides the new look, what else is new about the KFest Web site?
– The News page, which is updated with official, must-know information for all registered and potential attendees. Also available via RSS, email, and Twitter.
– An updated photo gallery with links to 2008 pictures.
– A new “File Archive”, containing sessions, schedules, logos, and keynotes from years past.
– The FAQ, last seen in Juiced.GS (May 2006), returns to its online origin.
– HackFest rules are now on permanent display.
We hope you enjoy the new look and functionality of the official KansasFest site. If you have any suggestions or encounter any issues, please let us know!”
We immediately checked out the website and have nothing but praise for the new look and feel. The site finally looks like one that that event would be proud to be associated with.
Also be sure and mark your calendars for the 2009 edition of KFest which will be held 21 to 26 July 2009. This one will be particularly special as it will also be the 20th Anniversary of the gathering.
