MacWorld Expo Rumors

Every year about this time, everyone begins clamouring over each other to put out the juiciest rumor about what would be presented at MacWorld Expo by Apple. So we decided we would put our hat in the ring as well and give our two cents to the pot.

For months now, everyone has been putting OS X on every PC subnotebook known to man including the EE-PC. While this might not seem like a stretch, we think it is quite possible that we will finally see a sub notebook. This is in light of another groups Mac Mini rumor. With miniaturization reaching its heights, we should see a nice small Mac motherboard and one that is capable of handling the needs of such a small machine. We are sure Apple is seeing the mass market appeal of the sub-notebooks and if they dont release one, they will likely announce one. (Due out in time for WWDC)

Also, we should see a new iPhone or iPodTouch as these products have reached their maximum potential in the market and Apple doesnt like to leave things as is in the market. They should also be coming out with copy and paste capability for the iPhone,. This has been the biggest complaint about the iPhone next to the fact that users have to sign up with AT&T as their carriers. Apple should fix the issue and announce a host of other updates that will be immediately available in iPhone 3.0. Also a new device allowing full mode video and voice input will be announced to go with the new version of the iPhone software.

They will also announce a better version of the Mac Book Air with the FireWire and USB ports that everyone has been wanting. The faster clock of the machines and the more power hungry ports will mean less battery life but still a 4 hour battery life is expected.

If you liked our thoughts, jsut remember that they are rumors and most of them are out of our heads and based on conversations we have had with folks around the industry. They are not based on any internal Apple memo as we havent read any of those and certainly do not have access to them in the first place. It is just our hopes that are riding high on our rumors and our faith in Apple to stir the pot. Could this be the reason Steve is not at MWE? Will he make a Phil Schiller type Entrance somewhere along the way? Stay tuned!!
