Call-A.P.P.L.E. magazine was the brainchild of Val J. Golding, the founder of A.P.P.L.E. Each month, he would piece together bits of news from Apple Computer, Inc. and other companies in the Apple world and publish Call-A.P.P.L.E. magazine – distributing a copy to each member of the user group. A huge undertaking, the magazine grew like the group in leaps and bounds and was the leading technical Apple II magazine in the world at one time reaching more than 100,000 readers per month.
