Over the past 15 years, Daniele Liverani has been working on a series of Apple II based arcade games titled GENIUS. The games, now numbering three (GENIUS 1-3) are on their 20th and most likely according to the author, the final release of the games.
Originally taken on as a challenge to learn a bit of 8-bit programming, Liverani who is an accomplished musician of some renown (https://www.geniusrockopera.com/), created the first experimental bits of the first version of GENIUS – INTO THE TOY WAREHOUSES in 2010 with the first release in 2014.. Now, after all these years programming, he has not only three very playable games on the Apple II computer, but he has also developed versions for the Commodore 64, Commodore 64 Plus, and the Atari 8-Bit computer series.
Now, Daniele has released not only the games on Apple II emulator ready disk images, but also the manuals, floppy disk label, the Info & Secrets sheet for each game as well as a 50 x 70 cm poster for each game. These extras that come with the package make it a definite must have for every Apple II fan. Yet, the best part of all of these goodies is that all three of the GENIUS games for the Apple II are now available in the A.P.P.L.E. Store as a free download for the entire package.
