Eamon Adventurers Guild Online looking for writers

The Eamon Adventurers Guild Online, curated by Matthew Clark, is looking for writers who have a penchant for writing. Eamon has long been the standard for Apple ][ interactive fiction ever since Donald Brown created it in 1979.  Published in 1980 in a number of magazines, complete with Software Developers Kit and a number of adventures, the system soon became very popular among Interactive Fiction writers of the 1980’s.  Currently, the Eamon Adventures Guild Online library contains over 255 adventures, making Eamon one of the most prolific Interactive Fiction systems on any computing platform.

According to Matthew’s notice on the Eamon Website, “Eamon is not, and has never been a one voice medium. There are definitely people out there who have something to say about Eamon, even if it’s been twenty years since they last played.

So, I’d like to offer this soapbox. Want to write something about Eamon? Write it up and send it to me and I’ll re-post it here. Not only will it appear on the blog, it’ll get re-posted to the website (the Eamon news section of the front of http://www.eamonag.org/) and the Facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/EamonGuild).

Have a lot to say? Let me know and I can set you up as a co-author of the blog.

Your input is welcome in whatever form… Tell us about your first experience playing Eamon… About that great adventure you wrote, but never sent in to be published… that piece of fan mail you received from someone who played your adventure… Your excitement in finding Eamon again after all of these years… Whatever it is, we want to hear about it!”
