About this List
The A.P.P.L.E. Links list is one of the most complete Apple and Macintosh lists available on the internet today. As the Internet is one of the most fluid entities in existence, this list is also always in transition.
The Apple II list is a compilation of many lists of URL’s and has addition information and comments added by the staff of A.P.P.L.E. You will find almost any link that you will need for any Apple related project contained within this list.
At this point in time, there are several web sites that come and go on a daily basis. We have tried to eliminate any which are down or which are not reliable enough to constitute usability. If you have an Apple related web site and you can’t find it on out list please feel free to send us the URL and we will review it for the list. You can also add the link to our links page at http://www.callapple.org/affa/. This page has an automated listing system that will allow you to list you page and have the chance of it winding up in Call- A.P.PL.E. Magazine.
Status
We here at A.P.P.L.E. recheck this list once a month to insure that the next list we produce will be as closely representative of the Apple community resources as possible. We will always include the status and the date the status was checked in each list we produce. If you find a link that has suddenly disappeared, please feel free to let us know at links@callapple.org.
This Month’s Focus
This month brought about some major changes in the way that we handle the URL listings. Our list is now in database form and will no longer be listed in the magazine. This is in order to make room for the other material which we receive on a monthly basis.
With our basic content reaching nearly 40 pages per month, we felt that another 10 to 12 pages of URL links would make the PDF files too large for download.
We are also working on some joint ventures which will bring more people to the effort to create a comprehensive URL list for our members and non-members alike.
Categories
While this list started out as primarily an Apple II community list, we have expanded it to
include the Apple-1, Apple ///, Apple IIgs, 68K Macintosh series, the Power Macs and finally the iMacs, and even OS X. If you see a category which is missing from this list which you feel should be added or one that is missing from the online link list, please feel free to let us know.
We know that in covering this much information, it is impossible to cover everything. That is why we always welcome the community’s help in maintaining the information.
