The meeting got off to a prompt start at 7:25 (after the secretary arrived, ed.) and the minutes were approved as stated in the May issue of Call-A.P.P.L.E.. There were 24 members present. (Note the continuing increase). Val started the usual introductions around the room….and some names are now becoming familiar. And then it was on to business.
Val announced, that a tentative agreement been reached with Softech, Inc., to sell memberships and software to the club on a greatly reduced basis. (An application form has now been mailed to all members. ed.) Our club shares a major portion of the c0st.
Starting with the July Call-A.P.P.L.E., we will be accepting commercial advertising, and classified ads will appear in the June I issue. Cutoff date will be the evening of the meeting for both, and non-commercial classified will go at the low rate of .05 per word. Apple has announced the ROM version of Applesoft II for late June eat about $99. The card will fit in slot #0 and will be equipped with a switch to select either integer BASIC or Applesoft from monitor.
AppIe’s Software Bank is now open. Val suggests we submit programs through the club so all can share in the programs. Apple will send in exchange. Don Williams’ Assembly Language classes will start June 1st. Treasurer’s report shows a balance of $152.14. The meeting adjourned at 7:52 and we then exchanged programs.
