This month, the gang over at MacHeist has had two events. The first was ta short event to give away the software package Squeeze by LateNiteSoft. While this particular package would appeal to those who are lacking in hard drive space, we feel that squeezing data is not necessarily the best idea.
However, now the folks at MacHeist have come out with the nanoBundle 2 and have included some really cool packages. The packages included in the base package are:
Title: Value
———– ———
MacJournal $40
RipIt $20
Clips $27
CoverScout $40
Flow $25
The first unlock of the bundle was Tales of Monkey Island valued at $35 and the second unlock was RapidWeaver valued at $79. Mac Heist also offered three more packages just for tweeting about the bundle. They included the following packages:
Title Value
———– ————
Airburst Extreme $20
Tracks $11
Burning Monkey Solitaire $25
The total value of the bundle was $322 but only cost 19.95 with 25% going to 1 of 11 charities, according to the buyers selection, or it could be split among all 11 charities.
The interesting thing about these heists is the software companies that participate seem to be the same ones in multiple heists, but the software in them is always fresh. Some users complain that they already have the packages, which is why this heist was of particular interest. In this heist, you could gift a license if you already had the package. While this would not be good for someone who already bought the whole package, it would be good for friends who don’t know or who don’t participate in the heists.
Of the packages included in the MacHeist nanoBundle, MacJournal was the one package we will be filing a further report on at a later date. We may also review RapidWeaver if one of our staff has the chance.
