GAMEVIl got this game absolutely right. Old school video game baseball comes to the iPad and iPhone. Everything about this game reminds me of the days of the Nintendo Famicon or NES as it is called in the rest of the world outside of Japan. The style of characters in the game remind you of those old time games and the way that baseball was played.
We downloaded the App, and even though there are options for more G-Points,we chose to go with what the game had…5 points to start with. You can always bu the 22000 G Point option for $19.99 but we figured we would keep this one on its merits. And merits it has!
The smart controls are much better than the old school push the keys and hope things do what you want them to. This game allows you to control exactly where the ball goes, how it goes and the speed it goes. Batting is much the same way. Your movement of the iPad or iPhone controls where the batter swings. Separate buttons allow either full swing or bunt and even though the computer is still tough to play, this is the best fun we have had with our iPad in a long time.
Even the end of game reports are very much the simplistic old style but the sounds and surrounding graphics with the speed of the game make this one you will play for many hours to come.
