Infinite Mac – All Mac OS Versions from 1.0 to 9.0.4

Mihai Parparita’s project, Infinite Mac, aims to provide easy access to classic Mac emulation. His project page, https://infinitemac.org, includes every version of Mac OS from the very first version, 1.0, included on the Mac 128K all the way to the 9.0.4, released exactly 23 years ago this past week. All of the OS versions are setup to run in the browser window under Javascript.

The project utilizes WebAssembly ports of popular emulators such as Mini vMac, Basilisk II, and SheepShaver, allowing users to run various System Software/Mac OS versions directly on the web.

Infinite Mac also features shortcuts to popular versions of Mac OS, including system6.app, system7.app, kanjitalk7.app, macos8.app, and macos9.app. Users can also explore the emulators’ capabilities through a demo video on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/embed/tljxs9zuaA8, while those interested in the project’s development can read a series of blog posts or view the source code on GitHub.

To provide feedback on the project, users can reach Mihai Parparita at mihai@persistent.info or at mihaip@hachyderm.io. Additionally, for bug reports or software feature requests, users can file an issue on GitHub.
