Auto Ark 1.1 is an automatic compression utility for your IIGS that operates behind the scenes to automatically give you more disk space. (On average, AutoArk will compress your files down to 50% of their original size. This means that AutoArk can theoretically double the space on your hard disk!) You simply tell AutoArk which files that you want compressed, and then AutoArk will compress those files. Then, when you need to use the file, AutoArk will automatically step in and expand the file so that you can use it. Later, when you have finished using the file, AutoArk will automatically recompress the file for you!
AutoArk also allows you to password protect and encrypt files! By using this feature of AutoArk you can make sure that your personal files stay personal!
And, unlike similar products for the IIGS, AutoArk allows you to customize how it works so that it compresses only the types of files that you want to compress!
AutoArk 1.1 is now 100% compatible with System 6.0.1 and the Finder.
