O’Reilly has been a part of the user group community for more than 30 years, so it is hard to remember back to 1978 when it was a small consulting company with a focus on UNIX and related technologies. By 1992 many user group members were reading copies of the Whole Internet Users Guide and Catalog while our more adventurous members were reading Programming Perl.
