According to an article in the New York Post, 141 New York City merchants have been busted in a major crackdown on places which deal in stolen iPhones. The problem of iPhones and iPads being stolen in New York has reached epic proportions and it seems the merchants have been just a bit too eager to help the crooks out with this one. This sting by the New York City Police began at the crook level and worked its way all the way through the chain. Funny thing is that the merchants still took the items, even though undercover agents clearly said the items were stolen.
