Walter Tengler has brought forth the original SuperConvert 4.0 to our modern day MacOS platforms. This new version of the software has been developed to run on macOS 13 or later, including on both Apple Silicon or Intel based machines.
According to Walter’s original post on the Apple IIGS Enthusiasts Group, he says “I loved a lot the Superconvert software, since last year I tried to bring it to the mac. here is my first result. Please test it and complain with me, thanks.”
GSRemap is a fully qualified MacOS port of the original Seven Hills Software produced SuperConvert 4.0 for the Apple IIgs. The program was created by first reverse engineering the original program. The GSRemap conversion engine is re-implemented in Swift from the disassembly and the manual, implementing all of the features of the original program. GSRemap desktop also mimics the Apple IIgs desktop in style and appearance.
