According to a survey run by IDG recently, iPad use by professionals in the work place is at a very high level. This phenomena is not just a U.S. trend, it is a major global trend. The Beijing Apple store has had a major debacle in its opening of sales of the new iPhone 4S there. The store was supposed to open at 7:00 am but as the time reached 7:15, the crowds of people who had amassed waiting for the sales to begin, began chanting and hurling eggs at the store. A new coating produced by Liquipel, a company in Santa Ana, California, totally waterproofs the iphone. The process, being displayed at CES 2012, cost $59.95 to have done, and the user must ship the iPhone to the company to have it waterproofed. This process can be applied to any smartphone and apparently will protect the phone even if it is totally submerged in water.
