A.P.P.L.E. Chairman of the Board and Club president -- Bill worked for the founder, Val J. Golding and A.P.P.L.E. from 1981 to 1982. In 1999, he began archiving the materials which were distributed and sold by A.P.P.L.E.. That project led to the group that remained of A.P.P.L.E. Bill was involved in the financial industry in Tokyo and has over 20 major office infrastructure projects to his name. In March 2001, he retired to write books and to spend more time pursuing personal interests. As the president of the users group, Bill is in charge of distribution of Call-A.P.P.L.E. magazine as well as the organization of this web site. Bill currently resides in Tokyo, Japan and Shelton, Wa splitting time between the places.

Apple-1 ETDS Emulator Updated

The Apple-1 Emulator That Doesn’t Suck or ETSD has been updated. The project receivd a bit of an update this week with the v6502 getting a submodule bump and the Apple-1 Emulator Xcode project file getting a version update. The Applewin Apple II Emulator has been updated. Version 1.28.1 has been released and is primarily a bug fix release. Items changed in this release include : [Change #523] Support Extended 80-Column Text/AppleColor Card’s DHGR Mixed mode and 560×192 Mono mode. MC68008 Cards for the Apple II Now on Sale

Atsushi Ushiroda, a long time member of the FApple2 group in Japan is now selling a batch of the MC68008 co-processor cards for the Apple II. The cards are available directly from Ushiroda at a price of $100 USD which includes international shipping. WOZ Format Specification Updated

John Keoni Morris, the creator of the Applesauce Floppy Disk Controller has announced the release of the WOZ disk image specification. The Apple II DiskBrowser, a java based disk image utility for Mac OS X, has been updated. Created by Denis Molony, DiskBrowser Version 1.0.30 was released with features to support A.P.P.L.E.’s hybrid Pascal/DOS and CPM/DOS type floppy disks. The A.P.P.L.E. Holiday Greeting Pak

In 1979, Jeff Finn submitted a program to the A.P.P.L.E. users group for inclusion in its Diskpak 2.  It was the Holiday Greeting Pak, a program which utilized the low resolution graphics capabilities of the Apple II computer. Included in the Holiday Greeting Pak were 9 different screens covering both the Christian and the Jewish holidays, giving users a variety of screens which could be personalized as well. The Applewin Apple II Emulator has been updated.   Version 1.27.13.0 was released with two main changes within the program.  They include: “[Bug #599] Fix for Ultima V not loading in Authentic Speed mode (regression introduced at 1.27.9.0).
