A.P.P.L.E. Chairman of the Board and Club president -- Bill worked for the founder, Val J. Golding and A.P.P.L.E. from 1981 to 1982. In 1999, he began archiving the materials which were distributed and sold by A.P.P.L.E.. That project led to the group that remained of A.P.P.L.E. Bill was involved in the financial industry in Tokyo and has over 20 major office infrastructure projects to his name. In March 2001, he retired to write books and to spend more time pursuing personal interests. As the president of the users group, Bill is in charge of distribution of Call-A.P.P.L.E. magazine as well as the organization of this web site. Bill currently resides in Tokyo, Japan and Shelton, Wa splitting time between the places.

Apple IIix Emulator Project Updated

The Apple IIix project, curated by Aaron Culliney of Deadcode.org, has been updated.   Apple IIix is an Apple II Emulator for POSIX devices.   Currently, the Android Release Candidate for version 2.0 is available on the Apple IIix website. Applewin Apple II Emulator Updated

The Applewin Apple II Emulator has been updated.  Version 1.27.10.0 has been released by Tom Charlesworth, curator of the Applewin project.   Included in this update are the following items: [Change #590] Apple II original: default to 48K (so no LC installed in slot-0). Update for IP65 TCPIP Stack Released

New Uthernet II Pre-Orders Begin

Glenn Jones of A2RetroSystems announced that Pre-orders for the new Uthernet II cards for the Apple IIe and IIgs were being taken in an email to the Uthernet mailing list.  The new cards, according to the website are based on the Wiznet W5100 chip. DiskBrowser 1.0.29 Released

The Apple II DiskBrowser has been updated.  DiskBrowser, a creation of Denis Molony, is a utility which allows users to view the contents of Apple II disk images on their Macintosh computers.   The java based utility has had additional graphics capabilities added to the program and offers rudimentary WOZ disk image support at the moment. The Virtual II Emulator has been updated.  Virtual II version 8.6 is a highly rated shareware Apple II emulator and has received a host of Bug fixes and enhancements including: Added a keyboard shortcut to enter and exit full screen.
