New Build of JACE Apple ][ Emulator Posted

Apple Updates EFI Firmware on 2010 iMacs

Apple Inc. has posted an update to the EFI firmware in the mid-2010 models of the iMac.  Version 1.8 of the iMac EFI Firmware allows Lion Recovery from a network connection.  You can download the update from the Apple website at: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1493  

AAPL: Apple Pushes Through 474$ Mark in Trading and pulls back

Apple Inc (AAPL) shares have been on a record tear over the past three trading days with the price currently trading at $472.65 USD per share or up $3.71 USD per share at Noon EST.  After pushing through the $474.00 USD per share price just after 10am, the price has pulled back.  The high of the day thus far was $474.21 per share.

A.P.P.L.E. Server Upgrade Put on Temporary Hold

We have been upgrading our servers here at A.P.P.L.E. in the hope of providing more resources and a faster server for our users.  During our migration yesterday, we hit a snag with services on the primary server being pinged out so we decided to go ahead and do the migration by hand which will take a few days longer than planned. Spring-Time Retro Computer Convention Scheduled for May 25-27

Piracy is a good thing? Rovio seems to think so.

While there are many agencies and groups which take a hard line against any kind of piracy, including the SBA, RIAA, amond others, there seems to be one company now that actually thinks it is a good thing to some extent. AAPL: Stock price heading south in pre-market trading

Apple rode a wave of enthusiasm on its Friday close at an all time high  of $459.68 USD at a rise of $4.56 USD or 1.00 percent.  That Friday enthusiasm seems to be replaced with some serious pessimism this morning as the pre-market price is already off by $1.77 at 8:59am. Apple ][ Lemonade now available in Lower Case

Brendon Robert has re-worked the Apple ][ classic, Lemonade so that “It is no longer yelling”.  Lemonade was one of the original Apple ][ games included on cassette tape with the 1977 version of the original Apple ][ computer.  The original program was written all in capital letters as the Apple ][ originally did not have lower case. Frank Kunze has announce that he will be sending out the 3rd beta of the Eamon Deluxe 5.0 program.   He is attempting to re-work all of the original Eamon to accompany the Eamon Deluxe 5.0 system, fixing directional issues as well as eliminating unneeded items from the programs in order to make them flow better. Apple ][ Disk Server Updated with Virtual Apple Database

Egan ford has added the entire Apple ][ collection from Virtual Apple’s website to the Apple ][ Disk Server.   The Apple Disk Server version 0.991 now has over 1500 disks that are ready to go on your Apple ][. Apple Releases iBooks Author 1.0.1 to Address EULA Issue

Apple has updated iBooks Author, updating the End User License Agreement, getting even more specific about what can or cannot be sold when producing content with the application.  In the original EULA, Apple had said that “If you charge a fee for any book or other work you generate using this software (a ‘Work’), you may only sell or distribute such Work through Apple (e.g., through the iBookstore) and such distribution will be subject to a separate agreement with Apple.”…

AAPL: Shares up in Pre-Market Trading

Apple Inc (AAPL) is trading up this morning with a jump of $2.23 per share in pre-Market trading.  With the .5% boost in the stock price, it is nearing the level it was at earlier in the week.  At 9:00 am, the stock stands at $437.35 USD per share and should stay relatively close to if it is a normal Friday, volume wise. Skype has been updated to Version 5.5.0.2340.  The latest release is a maintenance release meant to deal with some issues with call stability during video calls as well as to make some improvements to the calling interface. AAPL : Down Yesterday in Trading, Senior Employees Get Small Batch Of Shares
