Speccies News Acquisition Program Update V.1.1 Released

Ewen Wannop has released an update to his Speccie’s News Acquisition Program or SNAP.  Version 1.1 features the ability to read Usenet and NNTP news on your Apple IIgs desktop as well as to post and reply to messages.  The configuration system in SNAP lets you “tailor your daily news fix.”. Apple Shares Rebound Slightly after drop from high to end week

Apple Inc (AAPL) closed up slightly on Friday, regaining $3.01 by the end of After Hours trading on Friday to close at $447.64 USD a share.   The stock had been trading in the $444 USD a share level after reading a high above $454 USD a share post Q1 2012 profit announcement.     Thus far, this year, return on Apple Inc. stock shares are up over 30 percent making it one of the best performers on the market.

Eamon Deluxe 5.0 Beta Ships to Beta Testers

The latest incarnation of the Eamon Adventurers franchise, Eamon Deluxe 5.0 has been shipped to beta testers.  Thus far, the program is only available in Win32 format, however, other formats including Mac OS X versions will be released in the coming days. Thus far, there are 20 beta testers with room for 10 more on the team. Apple OLED TV Controlled by Siri Coming in April?

Apple Employees Getting New Discounts

Yesterday, Tim Cook held a town hall meeting with employees of Apple Inc.   While there were several items discussed, perhaps the biggest surprise was the new employee discounts that Apple employees will get.   Each employee will get $500 off Mac Purchases and $250 off iPad purchases, once every three years.  The discounts will begin in June 2012 and it is only available to employees who have been with the company for more than 90 days.  It is also not applicable…
