Virtual II Updated to Version 8.0.1

A minor update to the Virtual II emulator for Mac OS X has been released.   Version 8.0.1 was released by Gerard Putter just two days after the previous release with a fix for an issue which was causing problems with certain platforms.   According to the author,

there was a blooper in 8.0 that caused the Apple ][ and ][+ to hardly work anymore. This was dues to an “improvement” in the 6502 emulation, namely the introduction of a “false read” in the absolute indexed addressing mode – this existed in the 6502, not in the 65c02. Alas, this caused more side effects than I had anticipated, so I removed the improvement for now.

If you have downloaded version 8.0 already, you may want to upgrade with this minor version.
